Artist Statement: I have always been in love with light and color. When my creative energy emerged in 2009, I began oil painting landscapes, with my focus on the sky, the sunlight, the shadows. Since then I have experimented with more fanciful themes, using acrylics and latex resist to force my work to become more spontaneous. This is my first foray into pure abstraction, playing with texture, color and movement for their own sake.
